Creating a contingency contract unit
To create a new contract unit in a project, select the submenu item "Contract units" under the menu item "Costs" in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen. Then, click on the button "+ Add contract unit" at the top right of the screen.
In the window that pops up, select the "Contingency" option as the "Type". When you create a contract unit as a contingency, you can transfer budget from this contract unit to other contract units.
Note:
Please note that you cannot create contracts in a contingency contract unit.
A contract unit type cannot be changed after the contract unit is created. Therefore, a contract unit can only be marked as a contingency contract unit when it is initially created. If you have accidentally created a contingency contract unit, delete it and create a new one with the default contract unit type.
Tip:
If you want to "hide" the contingency, assign it to a cost group (e.g. CG 100 / CG 700) and restrict access to this cost group for certain user roles by defining the restricted access.
